About the Author

My name is Steve Milstead.  I am a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP) and the founder of Soigner Solutions and the author of the Pharmacy Compounding Today educational site.  Collectively, I have 20 years experience in sterile compounding of non-hazardous and hazardous preparations (including non-sterile to sterile using API prior to 503A/503B designations).  I am also experienced in non-sterile compounding and I have fully developed, implemented and upheld a USP <800> hazardous drug program since the release of <800> in 2016.

I have a very diverse background that encompasses sterile compounding and handling of hazardous drugs.  This is my passion.  It is of upmost importance to keep patients safe by treating our them with quality and effective medications.

I am a husband and a father and I have several other certifications in fitness, nutrition and relaxation therapy.  I have a passion for travel and language.
